Last week we all took time to give thanks although we probably did it in many different ways, in VERY different places, with different people around us. Some of us had small groups – maybe only our immediate family. Some ate with large families – I was always jealous of that because my family was small. Many of you probably celebrated with friends of different cultures and race who never heard of the pilgrims.
Our meals probably differed as well. I saw pictures of some of your meals – some before they were killed and prepared! No matter what you ate or who you ate with, I’m sure you gave plenty of thanks.
I hope none of you were down because you couldn’t celebrate with your families “back home”. I hope that through modern communication that you were able to call or Skype home. If there are special prayer requests during this season, please let me know.
You were missed here and thought of often. We wondered what you were doing and how you were celebrating. Thankfulness is a celebration. It is something that we can celebrate everyday for HE is good and HIS love does endure forever. It is free to celebrate but owe the rewards are great!
My prayer for you this week is that this spirit of thankfulness and joy will resonate to everyone that you come in contact with.
Bountiful blessings to all of you!
