Those times of need

I am reading a book about three men traveling through the wilds of Africa on motorcycles.  Their bikes broke down in the middle of the jungle and they had been warned about lions at night.    They set up their tents and tried to sleep.  At some point in the night one man awoke and needed to relieve himself.  As he began to leave the tent, he heard animal noises and decided he could wait until morning.  Another man had to relieve himself and couldn’t wait.

As he crouched by a tree (I’m trying to be discreet) he looked to his side and saw two red eyes about 4 feet above ground.  He hurried to finish and looked again.  No eyes this time!  He climbed back into his tent and anxiously waited for sunlight.

First off – will a tent help one bit if a lion attacks?  Second – how could you sleep in those conditions?

We all have needs.  Some are worse than others.  We also have fears.  We all face danger.  Will you risk danger to take care of your needs?  Will you survive the needs and dangers that you face?

Be blessed and allow God to carry you through your dangers and supply all your needs!

Luke 8:22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. 23 As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. 25 “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples.
