Children

One of the joys in teaching children is the return love that we receive.  It amazes me that after teaching a Sunday School class a year ago the children will still come up to me for a hug.  Wow!  They remember this old guy from such a little bit of time with them.  That is amazing.  Some think that teaching is a burden.  They feel like it is an obligation to “help” keep children’s ministry going.  Hey if you don’t have anything to give, maybe you should sit through another sermon.

Children are a tremendous gift from God.  If you give a little to them you will receive an abundance poured back to you.  There is no greater opportunity then to hold a child’s hand and to show them love.  I would rather hold a child than a million dollars.

Luke 18:15-17  People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
