Be careful little eyes

You probably know the children’s song: “So be careful little eyes what you see . . .”

Apply that to what you read or the news you watch.  We are literally bombarded every day with “news” from around the world.  What is true and what is false?  What is spin?  What is bias?  What is propaganda?

The Church and Christ’s followers are being affected by the pressure from the press.  For good or bad, we are being pushed, prodded, and influenced.  Blog sites like “The Onion” spoof the extremes of this.  Many read these reports and cry fowl before they realize that it is all in fun.  These comic sites may be extreme but the main stream is often not far behind.

Be careful little eyes what you see and be careful little ears what you hear.

1 Kings 3:9

So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”
