I just skimmed through a book titled “The Chocolate Soldier”. The premise of the book is that Christians are called to be soldiers. If we are weak and scared, we melt like chocolate. Interesting thought.
Are we Chocolate Christians? Do we melt away as soon as the issue becomes hot? Do we melt when the flames get to close? Do we melt when confronted or challenged?
Some of may be M&M’s that “don’t melt in your hand” but we do still melt. Are we wrapped up so tight in our image that we can melt on the inside but then harden again when things get cooler? Or are we so unwrapped that we melt into one big pool of muck that can never be put back into shape again?
Strand strong. But stand strong on His word, His convictions, His commands. But remember that His greatest command is to love.
