It’s a common scenario: You sit down to eat at a restaurant and the server first asks what you would like to drink. You reply, “Just water”.
Just water? We act like water is dust on the floor that needs swept out. “just water” like soda, coffee or tea is better? “I would love to have coffee” or “A diet coke would be great!” but no, we say “just water”.
What’s wrong with water? We may be trying to save money or we may be trying to drink healthy.
Or . . . we could be thirsty, really thirsty for “just water”.
What are you thirsty for?
John 4:13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
